Morse Code Translator

Terms of use

The terms for using Morse Code Translator’s free Morse code tools, including the files you create, camera and flashlight use, and our emergency disclaimer.

Last updated · 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Morse Code Translator (“we”, “us”), including the Morse code translator and the other tools on this website. By using the site, you agree to them.

1. The service

Morse Code Translator offers free browser tools that encode, decode, play, flash and teach Morse code. There is no account and no fee. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

2. Your content and your files

The text you type and the audio, images and videos you load stay on your device; the tools process them in your browser. The Morse code, WAV audio, PNG images and WebM videos the tools create are yours to use for any lawful purpose, including commercial projects.

Only load files you have the right to use. You are responsible for the content you translate, decode or share.

3. Camera, microphone and flashlight

Some tools ask your browser for permission to use your camera, microphone or phone flashlight. They use it only while the tool is running and only to read light or sound for decoding, or to flash a signal. You can refuse or withdraw permission in your browser settings at any time.

Be considerate when flashing lights: do not point bright or rapidly flashing lights at drivers, pilots, animals or people who may be sensitive to flashing light.

4. Not for emergencies

Morse Code Translator is not an emergency or safety device. The flashlight and audio tools can send SOS, but a browser can be closed, throttled or run out of battery. In an emergency, call your local emergency number and use certified equipment such as a personal locator beacon or marine radio.

5. Accuracy

Our codes and timings follow Recommendation ITU-R M.1677-1. Decoders that read audio, images, camera and video estimate timing from real-world signals and can make mistakes with noise, blur or uneven sending. Check important results yourself. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site to break the law or to harass, deceive or harm others.
  • Do not try to disrupt the site or overload it with automated requests.
  • Do not copy the site’s design, text or code to run a competing service.

7. Intellectual property

The site’s design, text, illustrations and code belong to Morse Code Translator. Morse code itself is a public standard that belongs to everyone.

8. Links to other websites

We link to other websites for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Morse Code Translator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or of any file it creates.
